有一隻狐狸很狡猾，
它常想，野獸們為啥不怕它。
為什麼老虎一出現，
野獸們紛紛逃散心害怕？
有一天，它看見老虎在散步，
迎上前去忙搭話：
“喂喂喂，老虎兄，
過來跟你拉拉話。”
老虎心裏很納悶兒，
小狐狸，膽子怎會這樣大？
老虎本想不理睬，
狐狸卻死死纏住它。
狐狸說：“從今後，老虎兄，
你別再大模大樣翹尾巴！
老天爺派我來做百獸王，
就連你也在我之下。”
老虎一聽很生氣，
罵狐狸，吹牛撒謊說胡話，
想咬死狐狸消消氣，
又惡心狐狸的臊尾巴。
狐狸說：“老虎兄，
我說這話你不信，
可跟我身後細觀察！
百獸若不害怕我，
我情願受你嚴處罰！”
說話間狐狸前頭走，
老虎隻好跟著它，
想把真相弄明白，
就連半步也不落下。
果然是，百獸一見它們到，
拚命奔逃夾尾巴。
老虎不得不相信，
狐狸果真神通大。
豈不知，狐狸是，
借著虎威顯自己，
百獸怕的是老虎，
哪會害怕臊狐狸它？
這個故事變成語，
常比喻，有的人自己無本事，
總是巧借別人威勢把人嚇。
The Fox Takes Advantage of
the Tiger's Power
Once there was a mischievous fox。He wondered why all the other beasts didn't fear him and why they were all afraid and ran away when the tiger appeared？
One day，he saw the tiger hiking along the road。He confronted him：“Hi，my dear brother tiger，e over here，I want to have a word with you。”
The tiger was quite puzzled。Such a little fox，how can he be so bold？At first the tiger didn't want to heed him。The fox，however，stuck with him and didn't let him get away。And he was saying，“From now on，my old brother tiger，put an end to your gorgeous gait and wags。God has appointed me as King of the Beasts，and even you are inferior to me！”
