我不會承認失敗。我要把諸如“放棄”、“沒有辦法”、“沒有可能”、“不可能”、“毫無可能”、“不會發生的”、“失敗”、“沒有用的”、“絕望”和“撤退”這樣的詞彙從我的詞典裏去掉。因為這些都是愚蠢之人才會用到的詞彙。我會盡量避免絕望，但如果這種心理疾病影響到我，我也會在絕望中繼續努力。我會苦幹、會忍耐。我會忽略腳下的障礙，把眼光放在前方的目標上，因為我知道戈壁的盡頭就是綠洲。
我會謹記遠古的概率法則，並用它來激勵自己。我相信每次失敗都會為我下一次的嚐試增加成功的幾率。我得到的每一次否決都會拉近我跟讚許的距離。我的每次皺眉都是為了迎接下一個要到來的微笑。我遇到的每一個逆境都是在醞釀明天的好運。經過黑夜才能看到光明，所以我一定要不怕失敗才能夠獲得成功。
我會嚐試，嚐試，再嚐試。每一次遇到障礙，我都會認為這僅僅是達到目的之前的一段小插曲，對信仰的一次小挑戰。我會堅持，就像水手們那樣鍛煉自己，承受住每一次暴風雨的咆哮，讓自己變得更強。
我不會因為昨天的成功而允許自己自滿於今天，因為這是失敗的根基。我會忘記過去發生的所有事情，不管是好事還是壞事，並帶著今天將是我人生中最美好的一天的信心，去迎接每個新的一天。隻要我還活著，我就會堅持到我人生的最後一口氣。我現在才真正明白關於成功最偉大的一條定律：堅持就是勝利。

One of the most rewarding aspects of confidence is that it sits gracefully on every age and level of life—on children，men，women，the famous，the obscure，rich，poor，artist，executive，teenager，the very old.
And you can take it with you into old age.There is nothing more inspiring than an old person who maintains his good will，humor，and faith in himself，in others，in the future.Conversely，the root cause of old people’s despair is a feeling of not being wanted，of nothing to contribute，no more to conquer and become.
