商品與銷售

在商品銷售過程中,有很多工作要做:介紹商品、送貨上門、提供維修保養服務等,但最重要的工作是銷售渠道。要保持有通暢的渠道,我們就應該重視市場開發和擁有理想的促銷手段。通過有效的市場開發和促銷手段,不僅能使銷售渠道暢通,而且還能發現新的需要,開拓出更為廣闊的市場,從而使我們的商品銷售在良性循環的軌道上發展。

市場開發與促銷手段

要銷售商品,市場起著舉足輕重的作用,我們要開發市場,首先應進行市場調研,開發出市場後,還要開展廣告活動等促銷手段,才能有效地經營銷售商品。

(1) Market Research

市場調研

"We study sales the company hasn't made yet,"explains Jane.The job of Jane and her staff is market research."We try to find out how the company can keep the customers it has and to increase its sales to new customers,"says Jane.Research means studying something by gathering information.Market research means studying places or ways in which a company can sell its products or services.

Market research also means studying what customers and prospects1 need or want from a company and its products.Jane and her staff keep records about many companies which do not use their company's products.They get the names of these companies from many places.Some names come from the salespeople.When a salesperson calls on a company that doesn’t use the products of his or her company,a report is sent to Jane and her staff.

The salesperson writes in all the information that can be found about the prospect company.Jane and her staff make notes about the kind of products each prospect company uses.

Mary also works closely with Jane and her staff.Mary gives Jane information on the kinds of products that customers are buying and using.

"Our own customers are our best prospects for new sales,"Jane says."Our customers know about the company and its products.If we give them good service,they will keep buying from us."

Jane and her staff do a lot of research with the company's customers.They try to find out how customers like the products they have and what the company can do to make things better.If the company is planning to make a new product or to change a product it is already selling,Jane and her staff ask customers a lot of questions.
