Today more and more people begin to realize the pleasures and joys of real-world social interaction. This is a positive trend as excessive addiction to the virtual(虛擬的)world is causing to physical and psychological problems, especially among teens.

There is no doubt that excessive screen time contributes to a sedentary(久坐的) lifestyle and a series of physical problems. When people start to enjoy face-to-face interaction, they tend to reduce their screen time to take part in real-world social life, such as doing sports, visiting art galleries or meeting friends. This means that they have to go outdoor rather than collapse(癱倒) in front of the computer or TV. Clearly, getting involved in outdoor activities would be beneficial to physical health.

Apart from physical health, going out for social interaction has been proved to be good for mental health. Research findings suggest that when people join groups for activities, their brain releases substances that mitigate(使緩和,減輕) the effect of emotional pain. In addition, compared with virtual interaction, real-life socializing better helps people fight other mental problems such as depression and anxiety disorder.

Therefore, it is significant for the public to enjoy real-world interaction, which would alleviate(減輕,緩解) the negative problems associated with hugely popular online interaction.
