1.Bum sth. off sb.問某人借某物
To borrow or to ask and get something for free.
e.g. Can I bum a few dollars off you?
2.Sad糟糕的;令人不快的
Something that is of poor quality or is displeasing or uncool.
e.g. Prince of Persia was a pretty sad excuse for a movie.
3.Science project科研項目,比喻發黴的東西
Spoiled food that has been left in the refrigerator for too long; anything that hasn't been cleaned for a long time and is now growing mould or fungus.
e.g. Go clean that science project of yours out of the fridge right now!
4. Flag down 召喚(服務員)
Get someone's attention, usually by yelling or waving; commonly used when wanting service in a restaurant or bar.
e.g. Hey, can you flag down our server? I'd like some more tea.
5. Out and about在外辦事
"To be out and about" means to be outside of your house doing things, usually errands【差使】 of some kind.
e.g. I'll be out and about for the day, so you can reach me on my cell.
