古時候有太行王屋兩座山，
兩山都在冀州南。
有一位北山愚公九十多，
麵山居住出門難。
這天他喚來兒孫召開家庭會，
號召大家齊挖山。
兒孫們或者反對或讚成，
他老伴心裏裝個大疑團。
第二天他帶領兒孫動了手，
挖的挖來擔的擔。
要把這大山全部搬到海裏去，
出門走路才方便。
有一個寡婦的孩子來幫忙，
被叫做智叟的老頭先看見。
智叟說愚公家白費氣力瞎逞能，
老老小小根本不能把大山搬。
愚公一聽不服氣，
歇下擔子和智叟辯。
愚公說：“你這老頭不曉事，
瞎說胡道目光短淺。
你須知，俺死了還有俺兒子，
兒孫後代傳萬年。
這山雖大難再高，
搬掉一點少一點！”
愚公他不理智叟鬆勁話，
帶領兒孫幹得歡。
這精神感動天上玉帝後，
派來了兩位好神仙，
把兩座大山全搬走，
愚公門前現青天。
這說明做事必須有毅力，
不怕困難和艱險。
坎坷過後有坦途，
勇氣毅力是關鍵。
The Foolish Old Man
Removed the Mountains
In ancient times there were two mountains：Wang-wu and Taihang，both located in the south of Jizhou。An old man in his nineties who lived to the north of the two mountains，confronting them，imposing on his family much inconvenience。
One day，he called his sons and grandsons together and held a family meeting。He called on them to remove the mountains。Some of the members were for and some were against it，and his wife was the most doubting。The following day he led his children and grandchildren to work，to dig the stones up and to carry them away。They were determined to carry the mountains to the sea，so that it would be convenient for them to go out and e in。
