不光是家具件件刻上龍，
就連那房梁屋柱也刻上龍。
這件事被天上的真龍知道了，
就想看看這位葉公。
有一天龍駕祥雲來找葉公，
降落葉公庭院中。
龍頭從窗口伸進屋，
龍尾巴就在院中直搖動。
葉公他見了魂魄早嚇跑，
鑽床底下渾身亂抖動。
到後來“葉公好龍”作成語，
常把那虛假的愛好來嘲諷。
如果有人表麵喜好某事物，
便可用這條成語來形容。
“葉公”式人物經常能遇到，
朋友們千萬不要學葉公。
Lord Ye's Love for Dragons
In ancient times there was a lord Ye who loved dragons。You could see dragons everywhere in his home-not only on every piece of his furniture dragons was carved，but on every ridge and every post of the house，too。When this was known by the real dragon in heaven，he flew over to his courtyard on a cloud，and wagged his tail in the middle of the yard。When Lord Ye saw this he was petrified，and crawled under the bed and shook all over。
Later“Lord Ye's Love for Dragons”became an idiom，ridiculing those who have some professed love。If someone loves something only in the appearance，you can use it to describe him。
