有位古人叫匡衡，
幼年家中很貧窮。
匡衡自幼愛讀書，
無奈家貧無燭燈。
鄰居家中燈光亮，
匡衡便將牆搗通。
自家牆壁搗穿後，
燭光照進茅舍中。
刻苦努力把書讀，
四書五經全精通。
至今提到勤學人，
人們便學古匡衡。
To Make a Hole in the Wall
and Let in the Light
In ancient times there was a man named Kuang Heng，whose family was very poor when he was a child。Kuang Heng loved to read at an early age，but a poor family like his could not afford a lamp。
His neighbours had light in their room，so he drilled a hole in the wall of his house。By drilling the hole in the wall of his house，the candle light was let into his room。Then he read conscientiously in the evening，and read through all the classical books of the Confucius School。
Even now when people try to encourage a student to study hard，they will mention Kuang Heng's drilling of a hole。
