Hello!
I am Claire McFall, the author of Ferryman. I am very excited that Ferryman has been translated into Chinese so that I can share my story with readers in China – and now it's here in hardback, too! I wrote Ferryman to retell the Greek myth of Charon, but I have been studying and now know that China has its own myths about ferryman to guide the souls of the dead, too.

我是克萊兒?麥克福爾，《擺渡人》的作者。得知《擺渡人》要出中文版時我非常開心，因為終於可以跟中國的讀者交流了。現在這本書的精裝版也要跟大家見麵啦！希臘神話中的冥府渡神卡戎是我寫作這本書的靈感來源，當我通過這本書的出版進一步了解中國文化後，驚喜地發現，原來中國神話中也有同樣的角色，這更讓我覺得通過出版活動達成的文化交流是一件非常美妙的事。
In Scotland, where I am from and where the book is set, Ferryman won the Scottish Children's Book Award – which made me very happy as the award is determined by readers. It was also nominated for
