這裏開列的書單，其目的是在前麵各章中的注釋以外，再為讀者提供一些簡要的、有關史學的傳統及其在當代變化的著作。換句話說，前麵各章的注釋裏已經征引的書，在這裏就不重複出現了。另外，現在已是網絡的時代，中文的相關論著，許多讀者輕易就可獲得，至少知道它們的存在，因此也就省略了。
